Basic Foot Care Assessment Skills for Personal Support Workers:
This 3 day non- invasive foot care course is designed to teach personal support workers (PSWs) working with the elderly, people with disabilities or those who are unable to provide proper routine foot care to themselves, how to assess and recognize foot related problems and communicate effectively with other members of the health team.
This course includes, foot assessment, data collection, factors affecting balancing, common foot problems, case studies, risk factors concerning the feet, common foot conditions, nail filing, foot massage, knowing and communicating with the health team, and infection control and safe practice.
Mondays, Wednesdays Classes are PLEASE NOTE:and Fridays, or three consecutive Saturdays.
Text books are provided.
